In line with the provisions of its Enabling
Law, the University will, as soon as practicable, commence an aggressive
and results oriented drive for contract research and consultancy
projects. This will involve strong links with appropriate national and
state-owned agencies, as well as with the multinationals operating within
and outside the country. In the first instance, the target multinationals
are to include those companies which are actively engaged in the oil, gas
and petrochemical operations in the State, as well as other key players
in industry and within the organized private sector.
It is envisaged that such collaboration
should operate at the University, School and departmental levels, as well
as through the initiative of the various academic/research units and
individual research experts. |
